The Chairperson of the Women Enterprise Fund (WEF) Advisory Board, Dr Jane C. Lang'at reaffirmed the Fund’s commitment to economically empowering Kenyan women through affordable and accessible loans.

This was during the signing of the 2024/2025 Performance Contract with the Prime Cabinet Secretary, H.E. Dr. Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, who is also the Acting Cabinet Secretary for Gender, Culture, the Arts, and Heritage. The ceremony took place at the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary.

Board Member Yvonne Tonkei signed the contract as an independent Board Member, while WEF CEO CHRP Racheal Musyoki witnessed the event.

Key commitments outlined in the contract include:

  1. Disbursing Kshs. 2 Billion in Loans to empower women to start and grow businesses.
  2. Reaching 730,000 Women Entrepreneurs through sensitization campaigns, media outreach, and digital platforms.
  3. Training 90,000 Women in business management skills.
  4. Equipping 10,000 Women with digital marketing knowledge to tap into online opportunities.
  5. Improving Market Access through collaborations with strategic partners for infrastructure and linkages.

By signing this Performance Contract, WEF demonstrates its dedication to bridging financial gaps, creating opportunities, and transforming the economic landscape for women entrepreneurs across Kenya.
