The Chairperson of the Women Enterprise Fund (WEF) Advisory Board, Dr. Jane C. Lang'at, signed the 2025/2026 Financial Year Performance Contract with the Cabinet Secretary for Gender, Culture and Children Services, Hon. Hannah Wendot Cheptumo. The ceremony took place at the Kenya National Library Service (KNLS) Boardroom, Maktaba Kuu Building.
This contract outlines the Fund's strategic commitments for the upcoming year, focusing on these key performance indicators:
- Disbursement of Kshs 1.5 Billion to 80,000 women entrepreneurs.
- Capacity building and training for 80,000 women.
- Digital literacy training for 11,000 women.
- Market access for 100 women through local and international exhibitions.
The signing was witnessed by the Principal Secretary for Gender and Affirmative Action, Ms. Anne Wang’ombe, WEF Advisory Board Directors Louis Karisa and Yvonne Tonkei, WEF CEO CHRP Rachael Musyoki, and senior Ministry officials.
Performance Contracting remains a critical tool for accountability and service delivery. By establishing clear targets, WEF reaffirms its dedication to Kenya Vision 2030 and the economic empowerment of women through structured interventions.
